It floats!!!

Tonight we launched on the Intercoastal Waterway. This boat performed great. My wife and kids joined me and we got a top speed of 28 mph. Not bad for a wooden boat. It handled really smooth even in some slight chop. When we were recovering the trailer had some issues so tomorrow I have some work to do on it. I am attaching a video and some pictures...enjoy!

  2. Robbie, the boat looks great and ya' gotta be proud. Congratulations on the launching and trials...bet the kids had a great time! Thanks for posting the video too...nice to see the boat underway.
Have been reading through the posts of construction since I found your blog a little over a month ago.
What happened with the trailer and did you have any probs registering the boat? Did you have to haul it down to DMV?
Looking forward to seeing more pics...way to go!

  3. Thanks everyone. Ron, the front trailer bunks were not positioned right and the winch was way too low. I ended up not using the front bunks and adding a roller in place. I also got a taller winch stand that seems to be ok. Im in the process of registering it now. The trailer registration will be easy. Ill get some more pics up soon.
